What is Escape the Classroom ?

An Escape Room Game or Mystery Room Game involves physically stepping into a set or scenario, finding clues, solving puzzles and unlocking your way through a series of challenges to achieve an objective.

“We bring all the props, clues, boxes and technologies with us so there is no preparation required by the school to enjoy the sessions.”

Good Escape Room game design requires teams to not only solve varied puzzles, but also to display generic and transferable skills used in everyday life, projects, work and community engagement.

“Combining the vast experience of The Mystery Rooms designers and our passion for STEAM education, we have developed an extremely varied challenge for the students, one that allows for multiple points of reflection and exploration into relevant STEAM topics.”

Adding to the pressure of having to uncover all of the information during the game, players must also race against the clock to achieve their objective before the time runs out. Responding to this added challenge helps to develop individual skill sets and allow for further reflection on how we can all learn to get the best from ourselves in all situations.

“The New World experience is set over a 90-100 minute session with approximately 60-70 minutes dedicated to activity time, depending on your class timetable.”
